iPOS SQL/Connect Setup Info

iPOS SQL/Connect Setup Info

iPOS SQL/Connect is a client application that runs on the POS back office PC or data server PC. This application runs automatically each day and uploads the data at 6:00 AM, unattended and in the background.

Download the iPOS Connect client to the POS BOH PC:

https://myposinfo.com/downloads/iposconnectsetup.zip

After its downloaded, double click and run the installation. Follow all the standard prompts. When the install is complete, you will see an icon on your desktop called iPOS Connect


You can immediately upload your data by using the Upload Data button or you can close the app and the data will upload the next day automatically at 6:00 AM.

FIREWALL SETTINGS
You will need bi-directional access on port 443 for https://data.myposinfo.com

For product updates will need access access on port 443 to https://incontrolpos.com

To install iPOS SQL, you will need to be logged in as the administrator.
Before installing, make sure you have all of the Windows updates
INCLUDING ALL OPTIONAL UPDATES RELATED TO WINDOWS AND THE .NET FRAMEWORK -- THIS MAY REQUIRE A REBOOT OF THE PC..

***************** NOTE ********************
After the install if you have any problems, verify the following
1. The BOH PC is either running Windows 7,8, 10 
2. You have an exclusion on the c:\program files\ipossql (or c:\program files(x86) ) folder in your antivirus
3. You have ALL the Windows updates
4. You have your firewall open for bidirectional access to https://data.myposinfo.com andhttps://incontrolpos.com for port 443
5. Right mouse click on the iPOS SQL icon and Run as Administrator
