iPOS Connect General Issues

If you are having any problems with iPOS Connect, verify the following:

  1. The BOH PC is either running Windows 7,8, 10 
  2. You have an exclusion on the c:\program files\ipossql (or c:\program files(x86) ) folder in your antivirus
  3. Make sure you have all of the Windows updates INCLUDING ALL OPTIONAL UPDATES RELATED TO WINDOWS AND THE .NET FRAMEWORK -- THIS MAY REQUIRE A REBOOT OF THE PC.
  4. You have your firewall open for bidirectional access to https://data.myposinfo.com on port  1433  and access for https://incontrolpos.com (for app updates)
  5. Right mouse click on the iPOS SQL icon and Run as Administrator
  6. If your antivirus has deleted key files in our app, you may need to reinstall iPOS Connect. Download and install from  https://www.incontrolpos.com/downloads/iposconnectsetup.zip
