Connect SPP GL/AP to QuickBooks
To connect SPP GL/AP to QuickBooks:
- Log in to QuickBooks as the QuickBooks administrator
- Open your company file
- Make sure QuickBooks is in single user mode
- Launch SPP GL/AP
- Under Setup go to Map Accounts (Map GL accounts for GL, or Map Categories for AP)
- Hit the Read From QuickBooks button.
- You may get prompted from QuickBooks to allow the connection, if so, select the option to use when the QuickBooks company file is open.
- If you still can't connect, try the following:
- Reboot your QB PC
- Make sure you have a full folder exclusion in your antivirus for:
- c:\program files\SSPAP folder (or c:\program files(x86)\SSPAP for 64 bit systems)
- c:\program files\SSPGL folder (or c:\program files(x86)\SSPGL for 64 bit systems)
- For product updates:
check for the current logged in user and verify under their user name in C:\Users\[Current Windows User Name]\wc has a full exclusion as this can also block updates depending on your antivirus software
- Right mouse click your QuickBooks icon and Run As Administrator (do these even if you're logged into windows as an Admin)
- Log into QuickBooks as the QuickBooks admin
- Set Quickbooks to be in single user mode
- If you have previously connected to QB, remove our app from the list in the Preferences section, under Integrated Apps. Remove it and hit OK.
- Right mouse click your iPOS icon and Run As Administrator (do these even if you're logged into windows as an Admin)
- Under Setup go to Map Accounts (Map GL accounts for GL, or Map Categories for AP)
- Click the Read from QuickBooks button.
- You may get prompted from QuickBooks to allow the connection, if so, select the option to use when the QuickBooks company file is open.
