Why is iPOS Locked?

iPOS Payroll has a lock feature to prevent software piracy. iPOS locks down on several hardware components in your PC. If your PC is serviced and/or on rare occasion some Windows updates, this can trigger the locking mechanism.


If the iPOS comes up Locked, rather than Licensed in the status screen, you need to use our web site to request an activation code. Hit the request Unlock Button to go to our website and complete the information (http://incontrolpos.com/services/sitecodesubmit.aspx)


Make sure your iPOS is actually locked as you may just be viewing the status screen and can turn off the scroll lock key or just keep hitting continue to launch iPOS. Refer here for more info on locked vs. licensed: http://incontrolpos.com/services/sitecodeinfo.aspx
