Changing the Pay Period Dates
To change the pay cycle or pay period dates, launch iPOS Payroll and from the top menu bar, its Setup > Pay Period Setup.
If you are changing the cycle complete (i.e. weekly to biweekly), select the new cycle on the left
Use the drop down calendar to select the new start date of the LAST pay period, then hit the Set dates button.
if you need to create a payroll for a custom date range due to make up the days from the old to the new, you can select a custom date range by turning on the date selector and create the pay data file. To do that, its the top menu bar, then Setup > General Setup, uncheck the flag that says Unhide pay dates selection and hit save. On the main form you can select custom dates and then pick the pay dates from the pay dates button.

Why does iPOS show the last pay period and not the current pay period?
iPOS Payroll always displays the previous pay period as the current one never gets processed because it has not ended.
When does iPOS change the dates for the pay period?
When your current pay period ends, iPOS advances the dates. For example, if your previous pay period is 11/25/2019 to 12/8/2019 and your current pay period is 12/9/2019 to 12/22/2019 then on 12/23/2019, iPOS will advance the pay dates to this pay period (12/9/2019 to 12/22/2019). To reiterate, iPOS always displays the previous pay period, so you can create the pay data file for this time period. The current pay cycle is never processed or displayed in iPOS Payroll.
